Bridging the Past, Present, and Future
Junior Jills
The Junior Jills, under the guidance of Miss E. Childs, were 12 to 14 year-old girls who volunteered to support the war effort. At the movie theaters and other fundraising events, the girls served as ushers and ticket sellers and sold candy.
They also gathered donated Victrola records to send to local hospitals.
